Womens Fitness And Breast Cancer
What do womens fitness and breast cancer have in common you
ask? Plenty recent studies are showing significant reductions
in breast cancer in women who are physically active.
Studies are also showing that womens fitness increases the survival
rates of women who have had breast cancer. So being
physically active really does pay off and the pay off is big I might
add. After all there isn’t much higher payoff than
living.
Besides womens fitness overall lifestyle factors where also found to be
important. Along with exercising regularly a healthy dies was
also important. That dies needed to be high in fresh fruits
and vegetables as well as water. Did you know that you should
drink at least eight glasses of water per day? Not only did
these factors improve survival rates they also reduce the number of
breast cancer cases.
Womens fitness through regular physical activity has been proven to
reduce the risk of invasive breast cancer. Researchers
believe it may have something to do with reduced estrogen
levels.
Research on womens fitness indicates that not only does the fitness
level reduce the risk but your body mass index also referred to as BMI
is also important. Women that were the most physically active
with the lowest BMI had the lowest incidence of breast
cancer. And those that had breast cancer and were physically
active with a low BMI had a 30% less chance of dying.
Womens fitness doesn’t have to be complicated. Just
going for a walk can be very beneficial not only for the potential to
reduce your risk for breast cancer but also for your cardio
health. You don’t have to run or walk
fast. You just have to get out and walk.
You can take womens fitness to a different level if you like.
You might decide to strength train or maybe you’ve decided to
join an aerobics class. There are all kinds of ways to get
fit. Tae Kwon Do has become popular in recent years as have
many of the martial arts. It’s a great way to
exercise, get in shape, and learn some skills for self defense.
Did you know that dancing is a terrific form of womens
fitness? Whether you decide to ballroom dance or jazzercise
the important part is that you get out there and shake your
body. Dancing can be a lot of fun while at the same
time improving your overall health and increasing your protection from
breast cancer.
There are all kinds of ways to get into shape. One of the
most important things you can do for yourself is loose those extra
pounds. As mentioned earlier women with a higher BMI have a
higher risk of developing breast cancer. Often it’s
a matter of just a few pounds and your BMI will drop. Womens
fitness doesn’t have to mean running off to the gym but it
can.
Many women prefer joining a gym. Being around other women who
are working on getting in shape can be very motivating and with so many
gyms focusing on womens fitness there are many unique programs now
available to ensure women of any fitness level can get the exercise
they need. So what will you do to get fit?
There’s no question that your choices are endless!
